It has been a while since I last posted. I have been busy building out CE-Deploy to make it bigger and better than ever. Last time I posted an update version 3 had just released to help deploy wallpapers and macros.
Dozens of new features have been added since then. One of the features I introduced in an earlier version enabled deploying xAPI commands you would have normally used from the command line to be input straight into CED. This enabled the rollout of a xAPI commands to multiple endpoints without the need to write a script. You can use the command as it appears in the API guide. I do the conversion required to post or send it to your endpoints to the cloud xAPI to make life even easier for cloud deployments.
This one feature has been by far the most valuable to teams trying to configure their endpoints en-mas. No more writing scripts in putty, no more going to individual endpoints to configure multiple settings. If the command requires a endpoint restart, no problem. Have CED run on a schedule during a maintenance window.
Want to be alerted when its done, no problem. Set CED to send you a report in Webex once completed.
CED can also replace the use of putty for terminal sessions with your endpoints.
