The applications does the video while the phone does the audio. So its use is extremely limited. I am yet to see or hear of a company use Jabber in this fashion.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Windows/9_1/JABW_BK_E4CC9599_00_environment-configuration-guide/JABW_BK_E4CC9599_00_environment-configuration-guide_chapter_010.html#JABW_CN_DC54C37B_00

If you don't mind sharing what is the misinformation being propagated? The MSI is responsible for generating these messages which it only does if it receives RSVP messages from the network.Any application can use the MSI if a developer chooses to independent of the OS. Apple, Android, Windows it doesn't really matter. Jabber for MAC as a example has the MSI built into the client but it can be installed separately and a developer can access the API's basically Medianet enabling any application.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/mdata/configuration/15-1sg/mdata-15-1sg-book/metadata-framework.htmlChris Normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200178774058910421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158853543793456735.post-75828525128725511842014-06-11T14:44:24.650-07:002014-06-11T14:44:24.650-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Chris Normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200178774058910421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158853543793456735.post-23094603757753191042014-06-11T13:23:38.927-07:002014-06-11T13:23:38.927-07:00thank you for that. Does medianet ...I need clarification on this point:
Does medianet only provide QOS to Jabber if the PC that is running Jabber is physically plugged into the PC port of a Cisco phone using CDP? Meaning, that Medianet does not provide QOS when user is (for example) wireless.

Thank you for clarifying this ...
