IF posible i will create a global policy since my requirement is we have a STD svr in one location and we have 25 links connecting to same svr location. insted of adding all the subnets of all my 25 sites i want to configure a single policy. The clients connecting from these sites should have applied with global policy .. is this Posible ?Virtual Adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13652841232372539976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158853543793456735.post-28448468822502666382011-02-14T13:46:17.574-08:002011-02-14T13:46:17.574-08:00First Answer is yes you can enable both media Bypa...First Answer is yes you can enable both media Bypass at the site and have CAC but there are dependencies such as you cant do media bypass across the WAN link when doing CAC but you can still do media bypass locally. CAC can be used to limit the codec used and infact make the client select a codec that uses less bandwidth than G729.

The biggest thing here is to enable media bypass using sites and subnets. You cant do media bypass all and still use CAC.Chris Normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200178774058910421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158853543793456735.post-64346357756298151242011-02-10T21:16:59.452-08:002011-02-10T21:16:59.452-08:00Hi Chris,

My question is

Can I enable Media bypass for both sites and still enable CAC between two sites?

Calls within site between Cisco and Lync Or Lync-Lync is not concerned. We can do G.711 by doing Media bypass and also have local MTP's.

Calls across site between Lync and Cisco, since Media bypass is enabled and we have local MTP/transcoder in place which will convert to G.729 will preserve bandwidth

Real Question is Calls across site Lync - Lync calls how can we can control with Media bypass being enabled? can we enable Micorosoft CAC just for this link ?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
